Dear Sirs,

I have produced what I believe can be a valuable resource for teachers of 20th Century American History. It is a compilation of topical songs with lyrics and audio that relate to events that normally make up a 20th Century American History curriculum. I would like your help in distributing the materials to those who could make productive use of it.

The materials can be found at the website, http://20thcenturyhistorysongbook.com/ which presents my e-book, 20th Century American History Songbook - Looking at Twentieth Century American History through the Eyes of Singers and Songwriters. The concept is generated based on my belief, developed largely on my earlier experiences as a high school history teacher, that songs help bring what might otherwise be dry stories to life, and, thereby, engage teenage students, who are likely to be musically oriented.

This is a free, non-commercial resource for teachers, students, academicians, or anyone else who simply has an interest in history. Because this is an individual internet project, distribution of the e-book to persons and groups who might be interested in the contents is a challenge. Therefore, I request that you share this announcement with your friends, those you know who are in the teaching profession and others who might find the project to be useful. If you know of other groups or individuals to whom I can send information about the e-book, please send me the contact information at mpalumbo424@gmail.com.

Thanks, Mike Palumbo

From the site, it doesn't appear to actually BE an e-book that can be downloaded. The way you seem to want to incorporate new songs, and grow the site is laudable, but it does limit it to online-only usage. This may be perfectly acceptable for a reference tool that is being updated. This looks to be an interesting and valuable tool, but saying it is a "songbook free online" and an "e-book" led me to think there would be something to put on my ipad for later usage offline, as with many other song and tunebooks acquired online.

If I've missed the spot where this happens, perhaps it could be clearer? I would love to see this project succeed; your concept and motivation are wonderful!
