Dunno who is on their publicity but I only just heard and they have loadsa venues and artists lined up, mostly bar music but a smattering of workshops and a session or two. It's on my festival page - now! Mister.Red > festivals Feb 18 - 20, 2022, Gloucester Folk Trail

Given the Gloucester Cajun Festival was last weekend and I was there they missed a golden opportunity of publicity, I was not the only one who would have spread the word &/or flyers. Not to mention my website!

The good news is that the Cajun Festival tickets for 2023 were on sale already (Mamou Mia!). The bad news is that local gov do the Cajun website and insist on putting a date in the URL, and even if I tried to predict next years' URL they add an incomprehensible code. IT guys know nothing about the internet. Just web pages. Not interconnectivity nor people surfing the web.

AND............. After 23/4 years I may have finally got the hang of Zydeco - maybe! - There is a year of brain fade before the next outing, so a definite maybe. Unless ............. North Shropshire Cajun Fest.

I think you will find that although they have the odd folkie on their working group, the event is organised by Gloucester council. They do have a website https://www.gloucesterbid.uk/gloucester-folk-trail/
but as far as other publicity is concerned, if that is in the hands of the council well.......

I have been before, but not sure if I have accommodation yet this time. As Mr Red says, it tends to be pub based venues mostly, but variety and choice, most of which can be within a fairly small central area of the city centre.
