Jazz at the Red Shoe Pub, Mabou, Inverness Co., Cape Breton Island, NS, Canada Saturday 9pm
Guitarist Scott Macmillan & bassist/vocalist John Chaisson perform Jazz at The Red Shoe Pub.

April 8 2000
Aeolian Singers presents: "Still the Song Lives On" @ St. George's Round Church, 8pm, Halifax, $12/$10
Janet Gaskin will conduct the Aeolian Singers, a 30-voice women's choir based in Halifax, in "Still the Song Lives On", a retrospective of the music by the noted folklorist Dr. Helen Creighton. Special guests for the evening will be, folklorist and protigi of Dr.Creighton, Clary Croft, along with guitarist, Scott Macmillan Allison Roe-Smith on flute and cellist, Shimon Walt. Local composers and arrangers such as Alisdair MacLean, Alex with guitarist, Scott Macmillan Allison Roe-Smith on flute and cellist, Shimon Walt. Mermaid Theatre & SNS presents:
"The Little Lame Prince" Conductor/Composer; Scott Macmillan at The Rebecca Cohn in Halifax, at 1:30pm & 3:30pm
Symphony Nova Scotia will premiere Scott Macmillan's original orchestral score, of Dinah Craik's children's classic,"The Little Lame Prince" for Mermaid Puppet Theatre of Nova Scotia. Macmillan will conduct this fully integrated production which will combine Mermaid Theatre with the SNS on stage together.

From Pier 21 in Halifax and broadcast live to air on CBC Radio 1 and around the world on internet, guitarist Scott Macmillan hosts a weekly "Minnie Sessions" as part of the 11 week radio series. Welcoming his musical friends, some of whom recorded on his intimate recording series "The Minnie Sessions Vol 1-3". Scott will be joined by such musical icons as Rita MacNeil, Jimmy Rankin, Raylene Rankin, Bernard Felix, Jerry Holland, Buddy MacMaster, Lennie Gallant, and Ronald Bourgeois these vignettes.
