Subject: Help: dueling From: Kelida Date: 09 Apr 00 - 12:13 AM My friend and I want to start a trad. band, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any "dueling" tunes that could be played on or adapted to be played on clarinet. |

I've seen several fiddle pieces which might be suitable. There is a wicked piece a group from Prince Edward Island (Barachois), which is an argument between an old man and an old woman. There are a variety of instruments which play in the piece, which (I think) is Acadian in origin. They even include the Sousa Phone? in it! Both blown and Rapped! wonder! |

Subject: RE: Help: Multi-part tunes/songs From: Kelida Date: 09 Apr 00 - 12:56 AM Yeah, both on clarinet. We may get some other instruments as time goes on, but we still want to sort of just get something together to start with. My friend and I are both pretty good, not to sound egotistical, so difficulty is not really an issue. . . |
