I've just found Joe's Lyrics, which is an amazing collection of links to sites with song lyrics of all sorts, from all round the world.

The Joe isn't Joe Offer, but he sounds extremely helpful: "If you have been unable to locate the lyrics you're looking for, email me and I will try to find the lyrics for you. I will email you back with-in 72 hours." I haven't tested this inviatation yet.

And of course the Digital Tradition is one of the sites to which he has provided a link.

Anyway, I've put this one in the Mudcat links.

I've asked him if he can turn up the one I was looking for on another thread called "The Bears have Got My Daddy", which dates from the end of the 19th century. If he can I'll be amazed and impressed.

But even if he can't, it's an impressive set of links he's got, and well organised.
