I only know a few words to this song, and may have misheard them but to the best of my knowledge it follows a childs growing up and the chorus is something like:

Often cruel and often kind
A wise old fool, clear sighted ....?
Light and shadow on the vine
And love is life

Anyone heard of it?

Doesn't sound familiar.

Love is life is and Earth, Wind, and Fire song though. I think your looking for a different song.
