I have gotten the lyrics to this old chestnut down, and have noodled around with the chords on my own, but since my skill level ends at figuring out 3 chord progression-type songs, this one is giving me a hard time. I thought I'd post to the 'cat to see if anyone had done this already. No use re-inventing the wheel, right?

I hope I haven't offended or angered anyone with this post.

This is an old favorite of mine, the tune of which I have long since forgotten. I have checked with the only source I know who still has a recording of this song, but they do not know the chords. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Try finding the 1964 LP by the Even Dozen Jug Band.
