Subject: Patrick Fyffe - RIP From: Fiolar Date: 16 May 02 - 12:01 PM The death has occurred of the actor and drag artist Patrick Fyffe age 60 of cancer. With his colleague George Logan, he was the brilliant Dame Hilda Bracket of "Hinge and Bracket" fame. The act first made an appearance at the Edinburgh festival in 1974 and for many years was one of radio's highlights. A series made it to television in 1983 entitled "Dear Ladies." The partnership was not always an easy one and split up for a time. Recently they toured in the play "Lettice and Lovage." It was reported at one time that some fans believed that the pair were actually female.The world is a slightly sadder place with his loss. |
