I'm saddened to report that I've just read on the uk music folk newsgroup the Jeff Dennison, the Canal Enthusiast and Canal and Folk Song Performer has died after a prolonged period of heart problems.

Collater of and co performer with Benny Graham on the 'They're Coming Back To The Water' (Songs of the Waterways) his last performance was in August at a Waterways Gathering but recently came down with a chest infection and was admitted into hospital where he passed away last Friday afternoon.

Jeffs presence on the Cut and at Waterways and Folk Festivals will be sorely missed.
