Subject: Folk On The Pier 2003 From: smuggler Date: 14 May 03 - 02:42 PM Did anyone else enjoy the weekend at this growing East of England Festival based on the pier in Cromer. Great performances seen throughout the weekend from a wide range of artists. Great workshops, floor singers and just brilliant fun climaxing in a superb performance from Fairport Convention on Sunday night. Its great to see the established and the new in one cosy venue and a good beer tent. Is this Britain newest festival? (% years this year) |

Subject: RE: Folk On The Pier 2003 From: Hamish Date: 15 May 03 - 08:32 AM Yes - I had an absolute blast. Never went into the main venue, but it didn't matter. Some great acts on in the marquee* and Fraser Nimmo's open mic sessions* had some great performers, too. Superb weather helped for those post cooked-breakfast walks along the beach. *I mean apart from me. Or do I mean including me? |
