One of the cool things I got to do at this year's Florida Folk Festival, (2003) was to sing chanties with Bill Schustik. What a voice the man has! Reminds me of Frank Lindamood of Sopchoppy, Florida! Vgo made our trio!

I sang, Roll The Woodpile Down, The Grey Funnel Line, Santianno, and Soon May The Wellerman Come...

Bill had to go sing at Ray Sine's memorial service midway through our workshop! He sang some short and long haul chanties and talked about his sailing. Vgo is a cornicopea of music from the 1700's on up, especially on banjo and has three or four tapes of his work with the 97th Regimental String Band.

Pretty cool, Huh?   harpster

Sounds like fun. Vgo jammed with Margaret and me at Silver Dollar City in Branson one year and a good time was had by all.
