My Father [from New Castle] is interested in a CD of UK Traditional Northern Folk Songs for Xmas. Does anyone know the Title of any such CD (and where to buy one!)

Try the High Level Ranters CDs "Northumberland for Ever" on Topic TSCD 483 and "Bonny Pit Laddie" on Topic TSCD 486

There seem to be two threads on this but, as it follows, I'll post this here. I had the LP 'Bonny Pit Laddie ages ago; some good Geordie mining songs on there if dad's an ex pit lad; and The High Level Ranters have a website and discography worth a look at http://www.nspipes.demon.co.uk/hlr/hlr01.htm
