I've been pressuring my local club (Jagz : www.jagz.co.uk)to book more acoustic blues players. This week we had visiting US (NY)guitarist-singer Little Toby Walker (www.littletobywalker.com) who played blues, rags and worksongs on acoustic and tricone guitars. A great voice, great style and great stories. I know there aren't many UK blues fans on Mudcat but those of you who are should check his schedule (www.bottleneckblues.co.uk)and see if he's appearing near you. If you like Gary Davis, Broonzy etc, you'll love Toby. (I'm not just saying that because he dedicated "Don't you line 'em" in the Fred McDowell/R.L. Burnside style to me!). A couple more weeks of electric blues then Nine below Zero doing an acoustic set.
