I'm looking for the history and lyrics to 3 songs,

My family sings a song I call Patty Dear. The Wearing of the Green could be its original name.

It goes something like this:

Patty dear and did you hear the story going round
The shamrock is forbid by law to grow on Irish ground?
When the larkin keeps the blades of grass a growin' as they grow
I'll pick up my decaraban (?)
And fight till I die the fight of god and might till Erin goes ebrogh.

And then there's this one:

They kept the pig in the parlor
They kept the pig in the parlor
They kept the pig in the parlor
For he was Irish stew.

For he was Irish stew,
For he was Irish stew,
Mother and father are Irish
Mother and father are Irish
Mother and father are Irish
And I am Irish too

This one is a song I've only heard from my cousins after church. I am wondering if it is a full song. I like it a lot but feel it's mostly missing bits:

Rose, rose, rose, rose, when will thy marry me?
I will marry at thy will sire at thy will...
At thy will, sire, at thy will....

Song I believe in a round or as a harmony.

I'd like to have them all whole some day to add amongst the family history.
Thanks again

Wearing of the Green

We Have a Pig In the Parlor (e-mail sent)

I'm going to close this thread because multiple requests like this get confusing - and the question is answered.
