Arthur Chisnall the founder of the legendary Rock/Blues/Folk venue in Twickenham Middlesex, has died at the age of 81.
For many of my age group it was a place which held many happy memories, listening to people like Cyril Davis, Alexis Korner Howling Wolf, etc etc. Drinking Newcastle Brown Ale, and smoking 'herbal' cigarettes.
Many's the happy night I have spent there, and what's more I actually remember some of them. Well after all it was the 60s.

I used to go to Eel Pie Island when the Jazz Club was there,Great place to take girlfriends you wanted to impress.Probably responsable
for an increase in population from what I remember of it.Not by me I hasten to add. (I hope)

Used to go there meself,crossing the little footbridge.
