Subject: Obit: Eel Pie Island's Arthur Chisnall Dies From: John MacKenzie Date: 15 Jan 07 - 11:31 AM Arthur Chisnall the founder of the legendary Rock/Blues/Folk venue in Twickenham Middlesex, has died at the age of 81. For many of my age group it was a place which held many happy memories, listening to people like Cyril Davis, Alexis Korner Howling Wolf, etc etc. Drinking Newcastle Brown Ale, and smoking 'herbal' cigarettes. Many's the happy night I have spent there, and what's more I actually remember some of them. Well after all it was the 60s. Giok Eel Pie Island Associated info |
