Bob Edwards interviewed David Bromberg on his PRI radio program last weekend.
Bob welcomes guitarist David Bromberg, who built an impressive resume in the 1960's and 70's -- then walked away from it all to open a violin shop in Delaware. Now, after 17 years, David Bromberg has come back rejuvenated with a new tour and a new CD called "Try Me One More Time."
Alas, this wonderful, 20 minute interview doesn't appear to be archived anywhere on the Web, so I've put it up on my Web space for a week, after which time I'll be glad to send it to anyone on request. There's a 6.5 MB low bandwidth version and a 7.7 MB high bandwidth version. They'e MP3 files which can be played by most recent audio players.

Many threads about Bromberg can be found on the 'Cat including this one which includes the text of a 2002 Baltimore Sun article.

Thanks for putting up that link, BK.

Bromberg sounds just as good as he did all these years ago, in fact, vocally, I would say he sounds even better.

I just hope he knows that he has a huge number of fans over in the UK and that he will make another visit over here before too long.

Yes, thank you for putting the link up. In addition to hearing David, I was delighted to hear Bob Edwards again. I hadn't heard him since he was on NPR's Morning Edition.

The interview was great. I especially liked his retrospective comment about his old recordings and described how Linda Ronstadt really does it "right"...
