I have commercial tapes of Run Rig "Play Gaelic" and "Clannad in Concert" that are about 2 inches away from just being tossed in the trash...

Anybody here want them?

First affirmative post here get's 'em... but will have to PM me their address...

I'd like to give 'em to someone who's gonna listen to 'em...

Keep your eye out. I need more tunes to learn. We have church EVERY WEEK! And we present at least two new ones every week. I already taught them all the ones I know!

WYSIWYG, a dealer in Glasgow, this week offered me a pile of gospel books because he knows I buy music books. It was a pile of soft backs, Billy Graham, Gospel song book vol this and that, he was offering them to me at 50 pence each. I could probably get the lot for a couple of pounds, are you interested, is it worth the postage to you from Scotland?

Someone told me that international postage is awful-- but I would sure love to see these! Shall we move the discussion to PMs? Or email me?

That Clannad in Concert recording is actually very hard to get hold of; the CD has to be special ordered at great expense, usually.

sorry folks.. but my assessment of that Clannad in Concert tape was that it was garbage! Rare or not...

Good to know there are others out there who like it and will give it a good home...

No they're not 8-tracks... I've never owned an 8-track...

I'm sitting here listening to C in C and I've figured out what I don't like about it... COnstant tunes, and singing in Gaelic bore me to tears... after the first 2, they all sound the same...

I guess I'm just too much a balladeer...

And well, peg... I'm sure you probably do plenty of other stuff that I would like... but fiddle tunes, gaelic singing and bag pipes all bored me that way... after 2 they all sound the same...

Unless Oliver Schroer is playing the fiddle, but he's not trad at all...

There's nothing more subjective than taste eh...
