Love them, Alice! Someone had posted the Northern England one a couple of weeks ago; I couldn't get the tune out of my head for days. Ol' Joel and his rathergood.com do a bang-up job. My female siamese loved the Pavarotti one, esp.! She was batting at the fluttering hearts.:-)

The 'Independent Woman' site has taken over most of the pCs in this building since it was posted on the 'cat the other week. General consensus is that, for a lift in the morning, it's the best thing since........well, since something anyhow!

I think the error is where they have "tales of gore".... should be "tales of yore". If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me.

I'd never heard the song before, so I didn't catch the discrepency the first time round, but now that you said it, I think you're right...

I wish the Independant woman also had some lyrics to it... can't make whiskers or tails of that one >^..^<

My sheet music of the song has "tales of gore" (1970 Superhype Publishing). I remember back in my cover band days I sang it as gore, but that doesn't prove anything other than that I had the book. There are other inaccurate words in that same songbook, but remember that what's published doesn't have to match what's sung.

I know this has been hashed about here before, but there is alot of folkiness to Led Zeppelin, they weren't just about blues-rock even so...um...my fave Zeppelin song is still Since I've Been Loving You, a decidedly minor blues-rock song.

It should also be remembered that Alf Garnett is the father in law of the character played by the father in law of Tony Blair who plays the Prime Minister of Great Britain, I think.
