Subject: RE: Tune Req: Fields of Athenry ROCK VERSION! From: Tattie Bogle Date: 04 Mar 08 - 11:17 AM See Geordie-Peorgie's post above: I think that's the way they do it at Celtic football matches (never having been to one myself, but having dared to sing it in a pub in Scotland - having first determined that it wasn't a Rangers stronghold!) It as good to hear pete St John's original version at Croke Park last week, even if the result didn't go our way. |
Subject: RE: Tune Req: Fields of Athenry ROCK VERSION! From: GUEST,Keep musicians in a job Date: 04 Mar 08 - 12:17 PM Erm, you lot! Is it not possible for you to buy a copy? That's what people used to do. |
Subject: RE: Tune Req: Fields of Athenry ROCK VERSION! From: Big Mick Date: 04 Mar 08 - 12:29 PM To second "Keep musicians in a job", why would you want to steal? Why wouldn't you put a few bob in the sock for the musician? It took all of 30 seconds on Google to find a source where one would buy his works and support the artist. I am sure I could look a bit more and find some kind of website. But it is just so much easier to get it without paying for it. My wish for all of you is that you get the stones up to try making a living out of your music, and some yob like you steals it and puts it on a worldwide file sharing website. Mick |
