I gather this is not Manchester, Vermont - or even New Hampshire - or even Connecticut.

Peter - As you suspect, we are talking about Great Britain this August. Dick and I will see you this weekend at NEFFA, I assume.

Look forward to meeting you, Clairerise. Are you local to Swinton anyway? Why not come along to the folk club? We are there every Monday!

Not that I would do such a thing as blatantly advertise...

Oh bugger!I can't get there!
I'm at shrewsbury!
Too many dates and not enough time.
I'll have a bottle of "Champion" and maybe sing a round of "Abdull Abullbul Amier"........will that count?

We will not be able to make that night, our trip to England looks like September. If we are around we will be there on Septmber 17th for Gary and Vera FOR SURE, not seen those two since 1977 when we left England for Canada.

DtG - I'd love to be there so I could meet my Doppelganger (at least that what Sooz tells me you are!) and swap cholysystectomy/gastrotomy stories and compare scars with Mrs. Gnome, but lo-o-o-o-o-o-ng car journeys are still a bit uncomfortable! Have a great day, I'm sure you will.

Well, what a good do. Many thanks to all concerned for their contributions and support. Performers, in the right order I think, were

Spot the Dog*
Leadfingers*
Susan*
Dick*
EmmaB*
Albert
Don
Dave the Gnome*
Len
Rosemary
Charlie
Barbara
Dai
Pete

(* - known mudcatters)

Don't think I missed anyone but please feel free to add if I have. In addition we had 2 other 'catters there who did not perform for various reasons - Thanks for coming and listening to the rest of us rabble to Bernard and Brakn.

Only managed to get finished about 11:45 and each act only did one or two songs apart from Pete who got a third in after parish notices by way of closing the night. A good 2.5 hours of fine music.

Dick and Susan and Terry all got away about 11 this morning - Let us know you landed safe when you get to a 'puter, guys.

Cheers

Thanks Terry - Next time we will make sure we have an extra 2 hours so we can let everyone do 4 songs:-)

I KNEW I had forgot someone. Between Emma and Alber was Colin Rudd with a stunning new song juxtaposing the lack of funding for essential cancer treatment with footballers wages. Hell of a good song and only written that day

Come on, Rio, give a weeks wages so my mother can get her cancer treatment. Very moving and thought provoking stuff. Sorry to miss you out Colin and thanks for all your songs.
