Subject: Folklore: A Story To Tell / Kieth Summers From: Shaneo Date: 17 Dec 07 - 01:20 PM What a mountain of information this man has collected over the years on English folk music. Such dedication to the folk scene, I came across his site and was mesmerized. here is the link here [large file, ok for broadband, slow for dial up] |

Subject: RE: Folklore: A Story To Tell / Keith Summers From: Herga Kitty Date: 18 Dec 07 - 04:00 PM Wonderful stuff on Keith's site. I hadn't realised it was Hans Fried from the magical and eclectic Collett's folk and blues shop who started Keith off... Hans (in 1969)got me listening to the Iron Muse anthology, the Watersons' Frost and Fire, the Band, the Pennywhistlers and Moondog. Hans probably deserves his own thread! Kitty |
