Subject: Lyrics for Irish-sounding song From: Don III Date: 12 Jul 99 - 12:26 AM I won't be surprised if nobody knows what I'm talking about, since I know almost nothing about this song except the tune, but I figured it's worth a try. It sounds Irish, at least to me, and it has the word "roam" in the title somewhere. The only place I've heard the lyrics is in the movie "Rough Riders," and I didn't catch the name. I think the first two lines go like this, but I'm not sure: "Let Bacchus's sons beknownst to me, and joined with me is Jovial Blake." I think the chorus is something like: "Instead of rum we'll drink the swill and pay the rent and hone the mill no man will ever forget the thrill of all our human glory." That's just about all I can remember. Thanks if anyone can give me more information. --Don III |
