Hi all

This month's guests at MaudslayThursday are the delightful Katriona Gilmore and Jamie Roberts. Recently nominated for the Horizon Award at the BBC Folk Awards, Kat & Jamie have seen action in Tiny Tin Lady, Kerfuffle and Rosie Doonan & the Snapdragons. Over Summer 2009, they supported celebrated folk outfits such as Bellowhead and Spiers & Boden. Their self-penned material ranges from blazing instrumentals to songs which have been described as ‘heart-wrenching’, to contemporary arrangements of traditional songs. In short, they're a bit good.

Support will be a rare solo outing by myself, but don't let that put you off!

Tickets are priced at £7 in advance and are available through our website, at wegottickets.com or by calling Lucy the Box Office on 07535 130975.

Alternatively they're also available through the good old-fashioned expedient of turning up on the night and giving us £8.

They are terrific with a most unusual guitar technique. If you think you can play guitar go and watch Jamie.

They played at our place last year and will be coming back again soon...top quality!
