As always, Mudcatters are invited to join me Thursday morning from 9-11:30 (EDT) for 2.5 hours of folk-rooted or folk-branched music on Folk Roots/Folk Branches. The show is heard locally in Montreal on CKUT (90.3 FM) and globally in RealAudio. CKUT's RealAudio feed is available from the Folk Roots/Folk Branches web site.

My guest tomorrow (Thursday Sept. 23) is Martin Grosswendt in a conversation recorded at the Champlain Valley Folk Festival on August 8, 1999. During the conversation, we'll hear two songs from Martin's out-of-print 1979 LP, "Dog On A Dance Floor" and an unreleased bottleneck piece recorded at a recent concert.

Among the albums we'll be hearing for the first time this week are new releases from Frank Hamilton (which has been much discussed here on Mudcat), Mae Robertson & Eric Garrison, Jody Stecher, and Don Walser.

As of 7:30 am on Thursday, CKUT's RealAudio server is down. I've reported it (via voice mail) and am hoping that it'll be restored by show time. Last time this happened, it came back near the end of the show.
