Subject: Tech: please help identify a mandolin From: GUEST,jeffry Date: 20 Dec 12 - 05:32 PM Hi. When my father died, I inherited an antique mandolin. The only identifier I could find is the bell-shaped badge/logo on the head, but it's very worn, so the name is too hard to see. I've scoured the web for photos of similar mandolins, but I can't seem to find any. Please help point me in the right direction. Thank you. Here are two photos: http://smu.gs/T1qvVi Please respond to: jeffryverse@mac.com |

Subject: RE: please help identify a mandolin From: GUEST,.gargoyle Date: 20 Dec 12 - 10:26 PM Ten years ago these fine fellows (for a $25.00 fee) appraised a friends's mandolin http://www.mandoweb.com/Services/2/Appraisals It registered as year 1926...her grandmother was in a "chick band "...the friend has zero musical talent nor desire....however, with a "value of 2,600 USD she chose to stuff it back in the cupboard...for her drugstore nephew. Sincerely, Gargoyle
As my neice says " Who gives a shit....it is just stuff of dead people."
Use it or lose it. Times are tough ...and you can purchase much more for 100.00 than a bobble -head ego stroke.
