Subject: Songs by AI_CreationsTV From: Pappy Fiddle Date: 03 Apr 26 - 11:55 PM YouTube has a channel AI_CreationsTV and it's got many Irish songs. There are some puzzles. The YT algorithm served up "When I Was Young". It's a pretty good song. From the name of the channel I thought it was AI-generated. There's no composer listed. But it's pretty good. I'd assess it as right between what AI usually produces and what a human produces. There are some words like an AI might issue, kind of strange: "A mean mother's soft voice made the whole house a hymn" "And the voices are ghosts in the choices we made" But the rest of it seems rather apt. A lot of the songs on that channel are "Irish". The channel's blurb sez it's coming to us from New Jersey tho. I'm guessing there's somebody there who writes the songs with some help from an AI. AI can produce some pretty absurd rubbish, but as a poet's ASSISTANT it can be OK. I suppose that the singer is a robot, and the artwork is by a 'bot also. BTW, can anyone help me with some of the words? I got County Offaly from the video's comments. Then there's mention of a river - the banks of the ???? Also, "There was ?turf? on the fire". Do they burn dirt in Ireland? Thanx in advance |

Subject: RE: Songs by AI_CreationsTV From: Pappy Fiddle Date: 04 Apr 26 - 12:50 PM That channel has this explanation: "AI_CREATIONSTV is home to original Irish music by TTLStudios, featuring cinematic Irish ballads, waltzes, and folk songs inspired by Irish heritage, storytelling, and home." Through The Lens Studios is run by Neil Grabowsky a photographer. If you think about it, photographers are a kind of artist, and they use a contraption called a camera to reduce the work so they can concentrate on the higher elements of subject, composition, lighting, etc. So maybe the AI assistant is sort of like that. Trust me, no matter how cute the AI seems to talk, alive it ain't. |
