Subject: Joy Crampton From: r.padgett Date: 18 May 26 - 01:57 AM Joy was from Harrogate and her first interests were in shanty singing in the 1970s and latterly in playing concertina to a high standard Roy Hardacre played in a duo with her late husband and after his early death Joy trained as a physio ~ her memory was applied to this learning and she worked I believe for many years in this profession ~ I last spoke to her at Whitby ff some years ago RIP Joy |

Subject: RE: 2026 Obit: Joy Crampton - UK From: Dave the Gnome Date: 18 May 26 - 03:00 PM Oh no! How sad. I was on the same Morris side as Joy. Cononley Morris. She was a great concertina player but chose to dance for Cononley instead of playing music and was equally good at that. She was on here very rarely as, I think, Spectacled Warbler. I should have realised something was wrong as she had been deleting lots of earlier Morris conversations. I intended to get in touch and wish I had now. Sigh... RIP, Joy. |
