I just discovered this beautiful song, and am trying to get a good translation so I'll understand when it's sung in Irish. There don't seem to be any references I can find on the net, but I know someone in 'Catland will be able to help me... Mick? Aine? anybody?

Yes, it is a wonderful song of a person totally in love. For those that were there, this is the song that I sang in Liam's Brother's workshop at the FSGW Getaway last fall. The Black Brothers do a wonderful rendition of it on one of their albums.

In the small world department, that's where I discovered it. Actually, not on the Black Brother's album (which is beautiful, with the whole family) but sitting up late at the Starry Plough after everyone had left the session, singing with Shay Black. I fell in love with it immediately.

Wish I could have heard you do it at the workshop, but maybe I'll get another chance when we see you in a few weeks? Gives me even more motivation to learn it by then. What else should I be working on?
