BS: Barbara Walters and the President

I just finished trying to watch this 20/20 special. I know there are bound to be those with something to say about it here. So: Has BW ever been less objective in an interview? Does Mr. Bush use the word "evildoers" when he's home alone with his wife? Has it ever been more apparent how far removed from what most of us think of as "everyday reality," a person has to be in order to become president? Did Barbara Walters really believe this was a "real" interview, or did she sit there thinking, "Oh my God, we're in trouble?"

I'll bet Dubya doesn't call them "evildoers" in private, but I doubt the networks would broadcast what he does call them....

Didn't see it so I can't comment. I did see the president's town meeting in Florida, and thought that it went very well.

Please let this thread die an early death. I had a knee-jerk reaction to what I saw on television and would better have kept it to myself. Dangers of channel surfing and mudcatting at the same time. It's all been said here before. No use beating a dead horse. Must have been cerebral flatulence. Sorry.
