Mystery tune ID

I purchased a recent CD by the Chieftains, "The Chieftains Film Cuts", for the purpose of learning a tune that has really gripped me. The tune was played (part of it anyway) in the movie Rob Roy. On the CD, it is given the title "O'Sullivan's March". However, it's really a medley of two tunes--one is inserted in the middle of the arrangement.

Does anyone outh there know what the middle tune is called? Or is it simply a variation on the main march?

I learned it as soon as I got the album home, but I would like to give proper credit before performing it.

Hi Moira , I don't have the CD ye mention so I can't identify the tune in question . However I have been playing Irish Music for over 2 decades and if ye can email me a zipped wav of the tune or part of it, I'll see if I or some of my musician friends can identify it . The quality of the wav does'nt have to be great as long as I can distinguish the tune . My address is [e-mail] . Hope I can be of help to ye .

I'm afraid I don't have the technology as of yet to send a version of the tune to anyone. Perhaps when I have a little more money saved up...
