Subject: Hambridge Festival 23/24 August 2003 From: GUEST,Regain2 Date: 27 Aug 03 - 04:11 PM Thanks to all who helped make Hambridge Festival a success last weekend. A lot of hard work and some great concerts. To anyone who wasn't there - you missed a great evening Saturday with Dr Faustus and Waterson:Carthy playing cracking sets. The New Scorpion BAnd concert in the afternoon was also a sell out and Sunday evening was wonderful. John & Benji Kirkpatrick, Gina Le Faux, Rob HArbron, Tim Laycock, Carolyn Robson a great first half and then the performance of Fanfare for the South West with everyone from the first half and the Stanchester Quire- amazing!! The CD of Fanfare is released in September by Fellside - the segue into The Dark-Eyed Sailor makes the hairs on the back of the neck stand-up! It was great when it was done at Sidmouth and it was even better last Sunday evening. If you get the chance to see it live - you really should! |

Sadly, I live at the wrong end of the country and I was working all the Bank Holiday weekend myself, or I would have done my damndest. (Big NSB fan!!!) |

This album features Roger Wilson, Emily Slade, Simon Care and Ashley Hutchings. With guest appearances by Brendan Power, Kellie While and Guy Fletcher. It is an album of songs collected by Sharp from both sides of the pond. A tour of the album is to take place in October, finishing at The Purcell Rooms, South Bank, London on Nov 5th Cheers Melodeonplayer |
