Subject: Car 67 / Driver 67 From: Halloween Date: 03 Dec 04 - 04:55 AM Help! Does anyone else remember the 70's song 'Car 67'? It was by an artist who when by the name 'Driver 67'. The song about a taxi driver being ordered (by a very Birmingham accented bloke called Control) to do a pick up at the home (83 Royal Gardens) of the woman he had broken up with the previous evening. Does anyone know the identity of Driver 67; was it a pseudonym-ed famous type, who was Control...? |

You can probably find out more about them by following through the links from Phil Beer's website. They went on to form The Arizona Smoke Revue with Phil, Paul Downes and Steve Cricket. |
