My 84 yr old mother wants very much to know the title and complete lyrics of a song/ballad her grandmother sang to her when she was a child. The first of several verses go:

One morning Bobby came to school
With an apple in his hand,
He told the girls to stand in line.
"Obey" was his command...

He threw the apple far away
And turning 'round he said,
"Whoever brings the apple back
Can always ride my sled..

Where did she hear this? So far, Google no help, nor is Levy.

Apparently this song was popular in my great-grandmother's day (late 1800's)in rural Iowa. I've had no luck in any of my searches. Thanks for your help.
