Gainsborough Folk (and Beer) Festival is this coming weekend in the glorious surroundings of Gainsborough Old Hall. Sample the beer in the great hall or take it into the medieval kitchen (as seen on TV)for a session in front of a roaring fire or to listen to a concert in the lower great chamber.

Thanks to all who organised, had a good time - though next time could there be a fire in both fireplaces in the mediaeval kitchens? It was freezing in there, which may explain why few people stayed long. Or it could have been me!

Great photos. We had a really good time, although we were a bit alarmed when we discovered our caravan was the only one on the campsite.

However, we were well looked after by one of the great unsung heroes of festivals "Dave the Hat".

Flossie was excellent, and we had a great time singing in the pub and the kitchen.

Simmo has put loads of excellent quality videos up on YouTube. They range from the singarounds in the medieval kitchen to the Harley Davidson meet outside the Old Hall. Just put Gainsborough Folk Festival 2010 in the search box and take your pick!
