Subject: Hope you mend soon, Joe! From: Acorn4 Date: 27 Feb 26 - 04:04 AM Picked up a Facebook post from Joe this morning:- "Well... I went to the hospital Wednesday for a four-hour procedure, and they decided I needed bypass surgery. So I'm waiting for a bed in another hospital. Right now, I'm feeling fine. Wish me luck." I'm sure we all wish Joe the best for a speedy recovery. |

Subject: RE: Hope you mend soon, Joe! From: Helen Date: 28 Feb 26 - 01:01 PM Thanks for the update, Joe. Onwards and upwards from now, per ardua ad astra. It's wonderful that your surgeon realised what needed to be done. My dear departed Mum had heart by-pass surgery and lived a good, healthy life for a long time after that. Just think of it as an essential car service which keeps the car on the road, running better for longer. (Note: my last car, a Toyota Corolla wagon was 19 years old when I sold her a year ago -that's really old in dog years - and I had her for 17 good, reliable years. I had the check-up and repair services done every year and she lasted a lot longer than a lot of other cars around. People are like cars. We need to keep up the maintenance and repairs, as and when needed.) Sorry for that little "by-pass" off topic! :-) |
