I've been remembering a song with the lyric "be not unkind, for soon he'll die, often no wiser than he began." the singer is female in the version I remember, but I can't place it. Does anybody out there remember?

The title of it is "Be Not Too Hard".

It's on the Joan album by Joan Baez. Apparently, it's also on a couple of albums from Manfred Mann's Earth band, one of my preferred 70's rock groups.
