Does anyone actually know any rock fest organisers (UK, this summer, preferably Midlands) still eagerly seeking bands to play? Daughter's band (Basso Loco) is looking for fest slots, and they are really rather good, somewhat startling original material (not folk or folk-rock), check the myspace, but they have left it a bit late.

They say they are applying left right and centre, but the lateness is bieng a barrier, and obviously a direct introduction to an organiser might help.

A bit off-topic for the mudcat, but worth a go, eh?

Hope to see them there then - that was me as Guest above.
My kids have kids of their own- but don't think that is going to stop me!
Cheers
Dave

You could try the Leamington Peace Festival. Might be too late for this year. There's also the Godiva Festival in Coventry which is one of the biggest free festivals in the country. It's run by the city council.
