I've read about Dennis Havlena on Mudcat for years and bookmarked his site years ago in the hopes I would some day be able to make a hurdy-gurdy using his plans. A current thread reminded me of him, tonight, so I went looking for his site as a link in a thread was broken, and found himself demonstrating his home-made instruments on youtube: Click Here. It's great to actual see the person behind all of the creative stuff he has on his website!

I see he has also made a CDof all of his plans plus photos and sound samples for a mere ten bucks!

Thank you, kat. That's most interesting. He seems to show a hurdy gurdy that uses frets rather than keys. That intrigues me. I believe I'll get that CD.
