Seems the latter may be true - or maybe the web hasn't reached Murton yet! Apparently Jez is due to launch his new CD/DVD there so I was keen to attend if possible.

I think this might be what you're looking for - the District Of Easington Music Festival.

It's not so much a folk festival as a series of concerts - rock, folk, jazz, brass bands, choirs, you name it - in the various towns and villages, spread over a couple of months. It looks like Jez's gig will also feature the Bad Pennies and Benny Graham.

If I've any money left by then (work is looking decidedly dodgy AND we'll have just come back off holidays) I might see you there. If you want, sign up to Mudcat, so you can send me a private message, and I'll see if I can get you a ticket.
