Subject: Old Songs -- Hotels From: GUEST,Guest -- Hikerman Date: 29 Apr 09 - 10:33 PM I'm planning to go to Old Songs and to stay at a hotel. A friend recommended the Best Western next to the State University. Does anyone know if it is a good hotel or should I stay somewhere else? Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks. |
Subject: RE: Old Songs -- Hotels From: Susan of DT Date: 30 Apr 09 - 07:01 AM There are lots of motels in the Albany/Schenectady area, often on Washington St (rte 20) or Central Ave (rte 5). They are not right near Altamont. We usually stay at the Super 8 on Central Ave, but have also stayed in the Fairfield Inn and Marriot Courtyard (when we had freebee nites from points from business trips) and the Ramada limited in the last several years. I think we stayed in that Best Western at some point, but I don't remember details. Someone who has stayed there more recently will probably answer. |

Subject: RE: Old Songs -- Hotels From: Jeri Date: 30 Apr 09 - 03:22 PM I've camped in the past but it's a pain. This year, because it's a pain and because my campground buddies aren't going to be there, I decided to stay in a hotel. I chose the Best Western because Ron keeps talking about it. Every year, it's "Best Western this" and "Best Western that". See you at breakfast Ron. Uh... I didn't mean that as a threat, BTW. |
