Subject: RE: Camsco Additions - 9/13/99 From: Sandy Paton Date: 13 Sep 99 - 06:24 PM The Amidon seniors (Peter and Mary Alice) have a new CD, too, don't they, Wally? Do you have it, as well? |
Subject: RE: Camsco Additions - 9/13/99 From: Wally Macnow Date: 14 Sep 99 - 08:13 AM Sandy, Peter and Mary Alice released "Hymns & Ballads" about a month ago. It's got some stuff by the two of them and other material with their kids, Sam and Stefan and Jennifer Armstrong and her daughters, Georgia Rose and Suzannah. We've been buddies with Peter and MA ever since we met at your place for the Golden Ring of Gospel recording sessions in 1980. Good folks, great kids and not a small amount of talent. |
Subject: RE: Camsco Additions - 9/13/99 From: Sandy Paton Date: 14 Sep 99 - 09:54 PM I was listening to it today, Wally. I don't like to play favorites (except with people like Vera Hall, Mississippi John, Alfred Karnes, etc.), but I think this is the best CD Peter and Mary Alice have done. Excellent! Nice bio-degradable package, too. Sandy |
Subject: RE: Camsco Additions - 9/13/99 From: Stewie Date: 14 Sep 99 - 10:56 PM Since the Hillbillies issues, Document has also released 3 volumes of Fiddlin' Doc Roberts and Vol 1 of Lowe Stokes - DOC 8042 - 8045. My supplier tells me that there are also some volumes of Dixon Brothers, but he has not sighted them as yet. |
