Subject: Farewell To The Fells - lyrics and tune
From: GUEST,Jen Wilson

Does anyone have the lyrics and tune to Mike Lyddiard's Farewell To The Fells, as sung by Paul and Linda Adams on their (1978) "Among the Old Familiar Mountains" album? I had the album - can't find it and I no longer have the means of listening to it anyway! I had the lyrics written out - they have disappeared!

Many thanks, in advance.

Could it be FAREWELL YOU NORTHERN HILLS by Ewan MacColl ? Perhaps not !!!!! Just a thought .

Jen,

If you have or know someone with a record player, the album is available through a few different Ebay sellers for around $10 each. If you can get me a video of it I could try and transcribe it.

Normally I would leap at the chance to get a new record but this weekend I spent more than I care to admit and should probably hold off for a while.

I am sure I haven't thrown the album away but can't find it anywhere so maybe I shall have to buy it again! I did ask Paul Adams if there was any chance of it being digitally remastered but it seems not. I was just hoping that there might be someone in here who was still in possession of it!
Thanks for your suggestions though.
