Subject: Today I Learned From: GerryM Date: 22 Jun 26 - 03:27 AM that the Ray and Glover of 1960s American blues band Koerner/Ray/Glover were not the Jean Ray and Jim Glover of 1960s American folk duo Jim & Jean. But you probably all knew that. I also learned that Jim Glover passed away in 2025. I have found very little about that on the web – no obituary, no cause of death, even the date of death has about a three month uncertainty. Maybe I should start an obituary thread for him. |

Subject: RE: Obit: Jim Glover ? - 2025 From: Joe Offer Date: 26 Jun 26 - 10:15 PM Gerry, in the years I have known you, you have never ceased to confuse me, amuse me, and make me laugh....even in obituary threads. OK, so the Jim Glover who died in 2025 was from the group Jim and Jean. Here's what the great Jim and Jean Wikipedia article says about them:
They were married in 1963 and were listed as Jim and Jean Glover in the liner notes of their albums, but went their separate ways after a 1969 divorce. There's not much on the Jim & Jean YouTube channel, but there is one album, and it's a good one. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6jJf1-Bz1Cz2z3cmk12Ffg Koerner Ray & Glover featured Tony "Little Sun" Glover on Harmonica and Dave "Snaker" Ray on guitar and vocals (not Jean Ray). Not the same Glover, and not the same Ray. |
