Just a bit of additional info. "Boulavogue" is usually sung to the tune, "Youghal Harbour" which is near to Cork in Ireland and where "Moby Dick" was filmed. This tune was adapted (I won't say "pinched"), by the Aussies for their song "Moreton Bay". It's a good song.

Would we "pinch" anything? From the Irish? Well maybe we would or maybe we wouldn't. Frank The Poet who wrote Moreton Bay from bitter experience was Irish so he probably reckoned he owned the tune.
