Subject: Not Sure Of The Title
From: GUEST,Randall

Some years ago I heard a song sung by a man that had, at one time, played backup guitar for Bill Monroe. The song he sang was "The Ghost of Medderland County." Or at least that's what the words sounded like. With his Western NC brogue, it could have been, "The Ghost of Meadowland County." Does anyone know the words to that song?

Thanks,

Randall

Hi, Randall,

If you go to the DigiTrad Lyrics Search box and type in "ghost" as your keyword, there are a bunch of songs that come up with the word ghost in them. You could then look through those songs to see if any of them are the one you are looking for.

You could also enter the keywords you think you have right, in the SuperSearch box which is right at the top of the threads and see if there have ever been other threads on it.

To learn more about how to use the Mudcat please take a few minutes to read the first thread, in teal, Mudcat FAQs & Newcomer's Guide.

Generally, you will get a better response if you put anything you may know of the song in the title of your thread, such as "Lyr Req: Ghost of Meadowland County?" It just saves time for some folk who can only be in here in between work etc. so they can quickly see if there is anything they can help with.

Welcome to the Mudcat and I am sure someone will be able to help you.

kat
