I am looking for the lyric of: - "Cumberlan gap" (trad.). - "There was an old soldier" (trad.) ... and he had a wooden foot ..) - "When the war is through" (used in the soundtrack of the film Custer of the West (by the composer Bernado Segall). - "When will love rule the world"(lyric + composition) also in the soundtrack of the film "Custer of the West" (by the composer Bernado Segall). Billboard Magazine, Feb. 10, 1968, mentioned this song, describing it thus:

There is a soundtrack album, described here which contains a cut labeled THEME MUSIC (WHEN WILL LOVE RULE THE WORLD).

People really shouldn't request more than one song at a time. It's much better to put each request in a separate thread. You never know when a request will lead to a long discussion of a particular song, and it can get confusing as hell if people try to discuss 2 different songs in one thread.

I must thank you very much for these precision about the music "When Will Love Rule the World".
I have just retried this this search after 14 years and discovered that you have posted a wonderfull response. That the magic thinks about internet. I wanted to make you know that I am pleased to have received this answer. I will be very happy to find this performance by the De Angelis singers. So far, I could not find it on youtube. Perhaps you can advise me.
