Does anyone have th lyrics to Melon on the vine---Maybe title is Didn't leave the melon on the vine.This was a very popular tune in the late 1920s in Texas,and some of the words are--When I left that old man's melon field I left there on the run, but I didn't leave the melon on the vine.Thanks for all help Louie Roy

Thanks to all of you for your quick response.I'm sure the kids who were growing up during this time frame added their own versions and probably there are a lot of different verses that were added as the years rolled by.I'd never heard of it but this 87 year old fiddler who grew up in Texas during the 1920s sang this version and asked me to see if I could get the words.Thanks a bunch to all of you for your quick response.Louie Roy
