I have a friend who will be staying in Tavistock from 20th to 27th July, who wants to know of any folk clubs/sessions in the area. I've already passed on details of Plymouth Folk Festival (19th to 21st) and Folk on the Moor (Sunday). Are there any other venues please? He's more interested in singers nights than concerts.

Thursday 25th July, I believe, there is a sing around at The Prince Of Wales in Princetown, not far from Tavistock - this is, I think, mainly singing. Hope this is of use

I've no idea what they have on that week, but there's The Hyde FC in Plymouth on Monday night - contact Den Couch 01752 661367, and there's The Globe FC in Topsham, Exeter on Sunday night - contact Pete Hargrave 01395 577605.

Many thanks for that info - and a Google search for the Prince of Wales in Princetown led me to a site listing other sessions in the area as well. For anyone else who may be interested, Click here. I'm sure those will keep my friend busy all week!
