Subject: RE: Lyr Add: The Little Thatched Cabin From: Big Tim Date: 19 Sep 02 - 03:58 PM Thanks Stewie: having been born many years ago in a little thatched cabin in Donegal I'm a sucker in my old age for this type of song. Any idea of the date, or area. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Add: The Little Thatched Cabin From: MartinRyan Date: 19 Sep 02 - 06:03 PM Tony O'Halloran was and is a fine singer indeed. Ran a folk club for many years in Athlone. It was a regular stop on the circuit in the old days, or as Tony used to say: "Many's the rasher I fried for music" - most of the touring guests would have stayed with him and his wife Liz. Can't say I remember this song from him, mind you. Regards |
