I have spent the last 3 months going through every picture I have ever taken to create a slideshow. I thought it would be a great gift to give to my husband for Father's Day. I have all the photos in order, but I am drawing a complete blank as to which songs I should have for the background music. To me, the music is just as important as the pictures for a slideshow. It just seems to add that "special something". So if anyone has any suggestions - ideas for that perfect song , I would really appreciate it. The pictures in the slideshow consist of my Husband & I and our children. Kind of a timeline from when we first met, baby pictures, photos of the kids as they've grown, vacations, that sort of thing.

I already have songs for the parts with just my Husband & I, (every couple does), but I cannot think of any appropriate songs for the parts with just our kids and family photos.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Try using your kids favorite songs and songs that you listened to on vacation. When they were young, did you sing together? if so, use those songs.

the song that comes to mind ofr me is john McCutchoen's
KIndergarteedn song...which says every thing i need to
know i learned in kindergaen, basically. The little poem
hanging on the kindergarten wall:
Of all you learn remember this the best
don't hurt each other and clean up your mess
take a nap every day, wash before you eat,
hold hands, stick together,
look before you cross the street
and remember the seed in the little paper cup
first the roots grow down then the plant grows up

Kind of sums it up, don't it?!

of how about woody guthri'e "gonna take a ride in the car, car"
for the vacation part?

or
Greg Brown's '64 Dodge

I seem to recall a song called "my father's hands"
maybe it is by Dolly Parton??

sounds like a great project...and a great present...
is it a surprise?

How about Teach Your Children Well and/or Turn Turn Turn, maybe a lullabye if appropriate to what's on the screen, Mountain Greenery, if there are camping scenes....what a great project!
